Saving Lives This Year - Our Counter

On our new home page, you'll see a counter. During the year, the counter will tally up all the lives saved by the Civil Service boats still in service, and the Tower Lifeboat, which operates from the Lifeboat Pier that the Lifeboat Fund contributed towards in 2006. 

The boats - and one hovercraft - still in service are:

• No. 52: David Roulston, based at Portrush in Northern Ireland
• No. 51: Charles Dibdin, based in New Brighton, Merseyside
• No. 50: Sgt. Bob Martin, based in Poole, Dorset
• No. 49: Stranraer Saviour, based in Stranraer, Scotland
• No. 48: Mudeford Servant, based in Mudeford, Dorset
• No. 47: Hunstanton Flyer, based in Hunstanton, Norfolk
