News from the Boathouse

On Saturday 18^th March the crew of the inshore lifeboat rescued a couple and their two dogs from the marshes in the dark. 

The couple had been walking late into the evening and became disorientated as darkness fell. They were cut off by the incoming tide between Wells and Stiffkey. 

Their son raised the alarm. He had a powerful torch and guided the lifeboat to where his parents were stranded.

All, including the dogs, were safely rescued
