‘Slippers to work’ day helps buy crew kit

Colleagues in National Records of Scotland, Edinburgh, took a new approach to ‘dress down’ Friday when, on 17 May, they wore their slippers to work!  They then proceeded to entertain their colleagues, doing a conga throughout the office, shaking collecting boxes in aid of The Lifeboat Fund’s 2013 Appeal.

A sale of yummy homemade cakes completed the proceedings nicely.  The fine total of £146 was raised through these activities.  Organisers, David Shelton and Fee Henderson were, rightly, well pleased with this result.

David said, “We had a good time and raised some smiles and, more importantly, some financial contributions for the cause.”

The charity is extremely grateful.  Supporters visiting the website are encouraged to send in news of their events for posting here.
