An Old Time Fishing Town: Eyemouth

On Thursday 14th October 1881, Scotland was struck by a vicious windstorm. In its path was the coastline at Eyemouth, where fishing was the essential part of the economy. The storm blew up whilst the boats were at sea.

189 lives were lost including 129 fishermen from Eyemouth.

For the 150th anniversary of The Lifeboat Fund, APS Group Scotland has produced an ebook commemorating the disaster, and the history and romance of the village. The story reminds us of why the RNLI is such a special charity for so many.

The e-book is available to download at Amazon and iBooks for £4.49. All monies raised (after sellers fees) will be dontated to the Lifeboat Fund.
