Lifeboat Fund Chair guest at Royal Naming Ceremony
Tuesday 23 August 2011

Lifeboat Fund Chair, Sir Peter Housden, was delighted to attend a Royal Naming Ceremony on 11 August 2011 at South Queensferry - Scotland's busiest lifeboat station. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh performed the ceremony, naming the Jimmie Cairncross, a new Atlantic 85 (B-Class) lifeboat. Another guest of the RNLI was Carole Barker-Munro, whose marathon team raised an incredible sum of over £2,100 for The Lifeboat Fund last May. It was a great occasion in spite of inclement weather!
