Under new management!

Wednesday 4 November 2015

As heralded at The Lifeboat Fund’s 2015 AGM, from November 2015, Mark Sedwill and his team of officers have taken over in the wheelhouse at The Lifeboat Fund.

Mark is Permanent Secretary at the Home Office (since February 2013).  His previous roles include Director General at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the Prime Minister’s special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.  Educated at St Andrews and Oxford universities, Mark’s other overseas postings have taken him to Cairo, Iraq and Nicosia.

A keen surfer, Mark was keen to get involved in the charity when Sir Peter Housden decided to stand down as Chair, on retiring from the position of Permanent Secretary at the Scottish Government (SG) in June 2015.

Mark’s new team are Eamonn Moloney (Hon. Secretary) and Angela Wilson (Hon Treasurer).  Eamonn (Home Office) has taken over from Angela Saunders (SG) at end October.  Home Office’s Angela Wilson takes over from Christine McLaughlin (SG) at the conclusion of the charity’s financial year on 31 December 2015.

The charity sends best wishes to the new and departing teams.

Fundraising for the Anniversary Appeal continues apace!
