Scottish Golf Event Raises £1,222

A golf event run by fundraisers from the Scottish Government in September has raised £1,222 for the Lifeboat Fund.

Twenty six golfers took part at the beautiful Ratho Park, west of Edinburgh. The winners of the Lifeboat Fund Challenge Cup were the team from the Institute of Directors (pictured). The Scottish Government's lead fundraiser and Lifeboat Fund Trustee Angela Saunders said:

"Thanks to everyone who took part in and supported the event – and a big thank you in particular to our prize donors, including EventScotland - and to my Health and Social Care colleagues who provided amazing support to the tournament.

“This was a great result, and I’d be delighted to share with Fund supporters elsewhere in the UK our advice about how we did it.  While it was a real success, we could have accommodated up to 80 golfers – if this could be for you in 2018, do get in touch.  Players from any Government body (or none) would be made immensely welcome."

Our thanks go to the Ratho Park Golf Club Secretary and team who looked after all the players in style. Stay in touch for news of our 2018 event.
