If you choose to donate by cheque, this should be made payable to "The Lifeboat Fund" and sent to the Hon. Treasurer: Mrs Madeline Dugmore, 199 Kingston Road, London, SW19 3NG. Please enclose your name and contact number and notify the Treasurer if you require a receipt. Also, please tell Madeline if you belong to a public body and would like your donation treated as giving from a member of that organisation.
Please also bear in mind the new service that lets you donate to The Lifeboat Fund by text. It's so easy to do. Read our recent news article to find out how.
Whatever method of payment you select, if you use Gift Aid and you can make your donation worth more: for every pound you give to The Lifeboat Fund, the charity will receive an extra 25p from HM Revenue & Customs, helping your donation go further.
You can do this provided you pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax in each tax year at least equal to the tax that the charity will claim from HM Revenue & Customs on your Gift Aided donations(s).
This means that £10 can be turned into £12.50 just so long as donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make, and it doesn't cost you a thing.
Please download and print the Gift Aid form and send the completed form to: Angela Saunders, Honorary Secretary, The Lifeboat Fund, Scottish Government, S1 Spur, Saughton House, Broomhouse Drive, EDINBURGH, EH11 3XD.
